Hey everyone I'm new to Tacoma world so correct me if I make a mistake! I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 3rz and I am thinking about putting a turbo on it. Have any of you guys bought/used the turbo kit from LCE or KORACING, or any other turbo kits available? Which one is the best made and will last longer? What other supporting mods have you done with adding your turbo?

I don't know about turbos, but it will help if you include more details about your truck, millage, transmission, existing mods etc... so people have a better idea of what info might help. Spend some time searching on this site too, chances are whatever questions you have will have already been discussed. Regarding performance mods, outside the TRD supercharger, my impression from time on this site is that there isn't much people commonly do to add horsepower. It seems more likely for people to re-gear to gain (regain) power lost from big tires , lifts and extra weight, than mess with their engine. There are simple things to do though. Keep up on maintenance and tune ups etc... You might search for "deck plate mod" as a dirt cheap place to start; though it reportedly helps more with the 6 cyl than the 4s.

    Welcome aboard!

I really appreciate the response! I have a 2003 Tacoma extended cab with a 2.7 4 cylinder and a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought the truck from my elderly neighbor with only 66k miles on it and since then put almost 5k miles on it. I'm hesitant on adding mods to it because I know it will last a long time and I want to keep it like that. Any responses are much appreciate even if they aren't turbo related!

You're not going to get enough oomph out of the 2.7 to justify the expense of a turbo or sc. Financially (imo) you best bet is to sell the 4 and buy a 6. If the tires are oversized, you're undergeared and regearing will help a ton. If you have stock tires, gears will help on the bottom end and hurt on the top. *most* of the bolt ons you can get aren't going to add any real power. They may make the engine louder but DB and HP are 2 different things.
