Curious about different opinions, or for people that have them why they went the way they did. It seems like Sc is the most common route but i know others went with a turbo. Let's hear why!

turbo'd 1gr are going to be had to find as no one made a "bolt on" kit and its only recently that we have had the ability to tune the stock ecu.

With a roots supercharger the power comes in at a lower RPM and a turbo it's at the top end. Apparently with a centrifugal supercharger the power comes in at the top end as well. If you race in Baja or rally race you might want to consider a turbo or centrifugal, a typical off roader and a street truck would probably benefit more from a roots supercharger.

Being able to tune the ECU is HUGE.

Because turbo vehicles are less reliable than supercharged vehicles. Some may come in here and disagree with that, but I just speak from all of the vehicles I have seen roll through my shop with turbo issues.

that does seem to be true, plus there's that kit mentioned above for a supercharger but theres not an exact perfect fit for a turbo etc..
