Well, I hadn't seen it, but I haven't been keeping up much either.

    However, I drove one & I didn't like it.

I ended up buying another used second generation because of that.

They didn't knock the 3rd gen Taco for reliability, they are knocking it "for a lack of refinement". Look what they picked as best mid-size pickup the Honda Ridgeline. If I were to plunk down 30 large for a new pickup it would be a Colorado crew cab with 5ft bed and v6 power. Even if I do get one in a couple of years I'm still keeping my 99 Taco regular cab

Yeah - I completely disagree with their assessment here - I don't buy a truck for "creature comforts" - this is why a new pickup is $40k.

The 2nd Gen tacos were starting to become pretty laughable in the past 5 years. It was vastly outdated. Turd Gen got started in the 2nd Gen :crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm:

$20 the person who wrote that article didn't drive any of the trucks in the article. A fifth grader could write better content than that

Yeah, Toyota small/mid-size trucks aren't usually well known for their on road ride. They've scored pretty low in that category for a long time, I think. It seems I remember the same type of criticism when the first gen came out. I was young, 16 or so, but I remember day dreaming with a buddy about how much we wanted to own one. I'll take the reliability over the on-road performance and poor MPG any day.

Dear Consumer Reports...there are probably...no I mean undoubtedly no more 200,000 plus miles on their odometer than ANY OTHER light vehicle out there!

Yeah, I owned a '59 International Harvester, and those guys have no idea what primitive is.
