    Ty.
I thought of the same in the first place, The thing is the fob battery was replaced less than 6mo ago, the remote lit red light when I pressed the button.
Plus the gauge needle which tells me something else might be causing this as when it gets reset, it detects the key.

Im talking about the needle showing which RPM your running @ on tach, the needle showing how much fuel you got in your tank on your dash.
Cant think of other words atm...

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It went over my head, I guess.

So if your gauges are acting like you are in Roswell, NM,..... I think battery should be doing it.!:thumbsup:

Hopefully you can get your issue resolved over there.

Although this should answer anyone's questions regarding taking a 3rd gen overseas. Toyota of Japan won't work on the North American Tacoma because they are not familiar with it.

You should send the Taco home, buy a manual diesel 80 Series, and then bring it back home with you to the States.

Ty. Yes, my understanding is as soon as the vehicle leave NA, it voids its warranty which is a bummer. :(

The clear umbrella I bought from 7-eleven in Tokyo was the best one I’ve ever had. Brought that back to the states with me.

Just an update. I didnt have chance to check on static/charging voltage yet, but this incident most likely caused the vehicle to isolate power from battery. I tried opening window and auto open/close, nor passenger window did not work which tells me the window position memory was reset when this happened. I now cannot duplicate this "stall", so i cant narrow down the actual cause...

Ill post voltages when im done checking.

So I did check the voltage and there is no problems. Ill have shop perform a load test this week.

    Static: 12.8VDC
    Engine On/ HL off: 13.9VDC
    Engine On/HL on: 13.8VDC

Charging system in tact, the battery seem to be okay as well.
