    friction seems to work good, i always liked a slate over a glass pot. carry some sandpaper to ruff up the surface along with the tip of your striker for good clucks and purrs. if you can use a diaphragm more power to you. maybe i just suck at em but i cant get em to do shit! box calls are good for locating birds. so are crow calls. crow calls will make a mature gobler fire up almost every time

    I found a few kits that come with all three. May get that to see what I like
