I have a 2015 Tacoma. Today I got in it and turned the key and nothing happened. The car beeps and the dash lights come on but nothing else. No click or any other noise when I turn the key. I bought the truck a few months ago so I have no idea how old the battery is.

Not sure if this is related, but a few nights ago when driving it, the stereo (aftermarket one I installed a few months ago) started having issues. First the steering wheel controls stopped working, then the volume controls on the head unit, but when I got a text message the volume of that was very loud (the music wasn't loud though). I tried turning it off and back on, but the stereo will not turn back on now.

    Any ideas where to start?

    Is this an automatic transmission?
    4cyl or 6 cyl?

Have you tried starting it in Neutral (if it’s an Auto)

Do you have a Voltage meter, and are comfortable pulling a relay and checking for power?
First, you probably want to check the battery voltage, but something tells me that’s not going to be the problem.
