2011 with factory 7 pin connector. Pin 4 (top right if looking into truck side) is + 12 volts, switched.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I have a trailer that uses this pin to charge it's on-board batteries, something I dont want to always do.

Well obviously. Or just don't plug it in. I'd rather have lights. I was wondering if there is a specific switch it fuse for just that one wire.

Not sure why you want a dead battery in your trailer, but look for a 40a "sub batt" in the fuse diagram in your manual.

You could wire in a switch if you want to.

Obviously I don't want a dead battery. Fortunately that isnt my only other option. I can also charge trailer battery other eays, or not have the trailer battery always charging, much like the truck battery isn't always charging.

The trailer battery isn't always charging as is. If it isnt being discharged it's not going to be charged. Even if you're drawing a milli amp here and there all that happens is the battery stays topped up. It doesn't add any real drain on your alt unless your charging system has issues.

Why not tell the whole story so we can be of more help. Guessing a solution that may or may not be of real help only to be told more pieces of the puzzle one bite at a time makes me want to let you figure it out on your own.

I can guess you are doing solar on the trailer. I can guess a solution for that. But why bother to guess when you the OP can just tell us. I am sure your situation doesn’t affect national security and therefore doesn’t need so much secrecy.

The whole story is I want to be able to turn off positive 12 volts direct current to the OEM 7 pin trailer harness pin #4.

Why I want to do this is irrelevant, I should never have included that information.

My question has been answered, there is a fuse.

In so many threads people try and try again to help someone out. After we finally find out the whole story someone posts a stellar solution or something designed specifically for their problem. In other cases the OP has wrong information and what they are planning will result in damage to their truck if they continue on their intended path. Just trying to be of help and help is often more effective when you have more than one piece of the puzzle at a time.

Sounds like you have enough information to continue on your own.

There is no 12v power to that pin in the trailer connection anytime your ignition is off. So, anytime your truck battery isn't charging neither is your trailer battery
