Turn off auto-unlock on handle

    2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road
    I had to pop the door card off (actually, didn't take it all the way off, just enough to let me get my hand in there to the back side of the handle). Unscrewed the bolt holding the handle on (located near latch mechanism on the side of the door), pulled the handle sensor out from the outside of the door, unclipped the wire, put it back in and screwed it back up.

    I forgot to secure the now dangling wire, so it jangled when rolling up and down the window, so undid everything again, taped the wire to the door skin, buttoned it back up and Bobs' your uncle.

    Nice! From all the creature comforts of newer vehicles, this is one I definitely don't want. What can I say, I'm paranoid.

    thank you, Taco_Coma. I was at the dealer for other service and asked them about this specifically....they said they wouldn't be able to do this! I wish i had your post with me when I went. At least we got it taken care of! Thanks all!
