Turn signal connector ripped off, is it a Molex connector?

So the turn signal assembly fell out (due to being broken by me a while back) and the wires got ripped out of the connector. I found the assembly on the freeway, brought it home and got the connector apart, now I need new uninsulated crimped pins/connectors to slip back into the weatherproof connector.

What the hell are they?!! I've been told that they are Molex type but I'm off the reservation with this type of connector. I have never worked with weatherproof connectors before. I can't find the type, and trying to compare photos on Amazon of these tiny things is driving me nuts.

I'll try to post pictures later, as I have a dance recital in an hour (along with a daddy daughter dance with my 4 year old )

 

Molex is a brand name, not a type. You want an ip67 or ip68 connector. Best bet is to find a delphi connector or a junkyard harness and splice it in with some heat shrink.

 

@JJ04TACO your best bet if you dont want to hit the junkyard and if you can get a part number off of the connector you recovered, hit up digikey. The problem you are going to run into is that will likely need a special crimer and die to crimp the contacts.

 

What a pain in the ass...I'll try a junk yard. That sounds like a good idea after sifting through a shit ton of connectors at Digikey...

Found a similar connector/pigtail from a late model Camry. paid $20 bucks for it. It's slightly different but I think it will work with some light modification. Same bulb so voltage should be fine...

Nope, half of the connector is part of the wiring harness, the other half has the part that has the bulb and goes into the turn signal lens, turns and clicks in.

 

Had this happen on my 99. The shell can be purchased from Toyota (if you need it). There is an electrical guide from them on here somewhere that has all the part numbers for shells and pins. The number on the shell is 5 digits, it is the last 5 digits of the Toyota part number, first 5 is in the guide.
For the pins, a few options:
-Buy from Toyota pre-crimped with pigtails that you will splice to the harness
-Buy pins only from Ballenger Motorsports (takes some research). The pins are like $0.15 each, and there are 2 flavors on Toyotas but they work on lots of connectors, good to have around! You can crimp with a standard indent crimper if you are careful. Buy new seals too as your will be old.
-I believe Ballenger is selling more complete kits now. They also carry some connector shells as kits. Hard to make sure you got the right one, there stuff is primarily intended for guys doing engine swaps and the like.

The pins can be removed from the shell carefully with small screwdrivers and the like. Reassembly is reverse of install.
Lot's more detail here: If all of this sounds hard, buy the connector and pins at Toyota and have them assemble it for you at the service desk.

 

I wasn't sure if Toyota sold the pigtails, so I went to a junkyard and found a similar connector from a Camry. I modified the bulb end to fit the plug by filing down some of the connector so it fits in the plug. (they are sort of keyed to fit). All is done with some butt connectors with shrink tube ends.
