Hi Tacoma World, My 99 Tacoma has had left turn signal issues for a little while. And today I noticed a little smoke coming from the steering column, and rapid clicking when the turn signal wasn't on. Any ideas?

Try checking under cover for any burnt wiring.
    Check which relay is clicking.
    Have you found the problem?

Hi Rockies, no work has gotten busy and I haven't had chance to look at it. I picked up a really clean 93 Toyota p/u this winter. I wasn't planning on driving it till break up was over but it's getting me back and forth to work now. I've been visiting this website for years as a guest. First online forum I've ever joined. I've only ever had the one 99 Tacoma ( 2nd owner). But I've had a few of the Toyota p/u's. Been a big fan of them for years. Do you know if you disconnect the battery for a while, can the air bag still deploy by accident?

    Hi,
By disconnecting the battery cables at battery, power to ECM for the airbags is removed.
