If you have a visual inspection you'll fall, if you're in a state is illegal to have your exhaust exit under your cab you can be cited or impounded. And if you get stuck in mud or snow and leave the motor running you increase the odds you'll die.

That's a little extreme. Having the exhaust turn down after the axle is pretty far from the cab.. and there are very few penetrations in the cab which are all sealed water tight. It's highly unlikely exhaust gasses from a turn down would ever enter the cab unless you're sad and running a flex hose from the pipe into the cab in the garage

I'm sorry you have inspections and live in such a restrictive place

People die every year from exactly that, exhaust under the vehicle working it's way into the cab. Being from a snowy area, it should be survival 101 when you're in the woods. CO is some nasty stuff, it's rarely an issue when you drive, when you're in a stuck it's a different story. Older vehicles are far from water proof to start and exhaust is generally routed in a such a way as to not be a problem. One of my old offroad rigs had a badly routed system, any speed over 30 and it would suck right in through the back window area. Once put back where it was supposed to go, no issues.

And as many states require inspections and any change to factory routing is an automatic fail the OP needs to look into his local requirements. And of course I believe many states have a law that exhaust can't be dumped under the vehicle, again check your localities.

That's fine but I can tell you on a second Gen tacoma with the exhaust dumped behind the axle, fumes will not enter the cab even when buried in the snow

My comments were tacoma specific and not older bush buggies..... can always come to the land of freedom up north, no emissions no inspections... it's great

Did it anyways. Had em cut it right before the last hanger and weld on the td tip and weld the hanger back on also. Really like how it cleaned up my rear end. Guy says he will pass my inspections if I have issues anywhere else.
    Hope I don't die!!!

Guys I cant decide between dynomax super turbo or Magnaflow. I have the dynomax now, to me it feels like the dynomax gave me some power but I want it louder so I guess the 18"mf is out. how loud is the 14", not like glass pack or fm super 10 loud right?

Here is what mine looked like after the Magna Flow was installed:

Is this for clearance off roading because the exaust is very corrosive and to me would cause issues long term just my opinion

... it made no difference in clearance. If you look at the newer FJ's, same location. No problems at all. Not sure what you're asking about corrosive and long term issues.

I had to replace my OEM exhaust as it acquired damage from the added amount if flex I had. The leaf spring on the passenger side bent it at full droop.

I cut mine off before it got crunched into the box... my exhaust has all kinds of dents in it already I'm waiting for a long tube header or for it to fall off before getting something else
