Negative. As Rocklobster said, 60 is just the max it will engage. You can go as fast as you want in 4Hi.

I do it all the time in winter. Moreso to keep the backend from busting out on me unexpectedly. Since the back can't spin faster than the front you won't spin out as easy if at all.

There isn't any mechanical speed limitations once in 4wd. Speed will do no harm to the drive components. Like already stated however you have to be under 60 mph to engage

From my 10 years of off-roading....I never saw a transfer case blow out. I've seen several CV joints explode themselves while making tight turns in 4WD.

I guess, whatever the situation is and which ever is weakest. :).

Yes...why not? When it's raining heavily, I often engage it on the highway near 60mph and I have gone over 60mph in 4WD. I do it mostly for keeping the system lubricated, but also.....you are more likely to have fish tailing in 2WD than with 4WD. The tires are less likely to 'break loose' in 4WD than in 2WD.

I feel SAFER and more comfortable with 4WD in those situations. 2WD in the rain especially when the roads are 'greasy' - 2WD sucks. And especially now ...my tires are at the end of their life span and they're even worse.

My '09 went months without going into 2wd. Some of us have snow on the roads from late Oct. thru to April, then mud until June. Plenty of 4x4 miles at hwy speeds. It's just how we roll North of the 45th...

Under what road/driving surface conditions are you engaging 4WD?

    I'm guessing you're correct.

But, he didn't say and just wanted to make sure we weren't missing another cause and kinda get some thought in there too... :D

You'll wear out your tires before this ever happens. This is most likely a result of metal quality and or it's too thin.

You mouthbreathers really should start reading your owners manuals. These aren't video games, and you only get one life.

I've been rebuffed by everyone so far but, do you need a hug? You seem a little tense... :p

Not tense, just filled with an increasing sense of despair for humanity.

During the summer I engage it on dirt roads to keep it lubed. Winter is whenever it's Snowy. Never on dry pavement or wet roads

I believe that picture was taken from a SA (Grand?) Cherokee. Obviously not with the Full Time 4WD regardless.
