Manual smanual, if I don't turn it off and let some fresh air thru the system a min or so before I park, it smells like ass the next day for a min or so. Tons of other owners say the same thing. It's done it since the new truck smell finally dissipated.

I live in one of the most humid cities in the US. I did have the funky smell with previous vehicles. I've never opened the fresh air on this truck and it's never smelled. Sounds like you need to change your cabin air filter.

I live on Guam, humidity is no stranger to me. I've changed the cabin filter a couple times, same smell if recirculate is left on before shutting off vehicle. Blowing fresh air thru the system a min or so before parking prevents the dirty ass smell in the morning.

My "outside" air is 80-90% humidity 8 months a year. Haven't opened the outside air in over a year. No smell. Leaving the outside air vent open did give squirrels a place to shove acorns into the squirrel cage (npi) blower in my 2004 SR5....

Thanks for all your inputs. I still shut mine off prior to turning engine off. I just don’t want my ac smelling like wet socks in the long run.
