Access cab versus Double cab has nothing to do with whether it has DTRL.

Hmm, guess it is true. Common sense isn't so common.

Acutally I've look very carefully at what Tacomas have DTRL and what ones don't 99.9% of ones that Have DTRLs ARE DCs, and 95% of them that dont have them are ACs or Singles, So, YA, Common Sense, because I've Looked for it

    BUILT, not bought...

    I have to agree ^^^.

thinking of it, I've never seen an AC with DTRL...but all the DC mall crawler around here have DTRLs'...

Maybe I'll go to the dealer tommorrow and see if any of the ACs' in the lot have DTRLs'.

I wonder if you can order DTRL for a AC and have them installed just to keep the warrantee good? Anyone know?

Daytime Running Lights are installed as an option at the distributor level. They are not stock out of the factory.

Mine has them. Driving with all the tourists in Fla I am glad to have them. We need all the help we can get to be seen.

It's a safety thing... honestly it's not a bad idea to have them on. They will not drain your battery unless you leave you trucking sitting with the ignition on, engine off all the time. If you do that... you got other problems. The alternator can handle those two puny bulbs and a lot more.......

Also, having DTRL means a discount with most insurance companies. That's one of the main reasons a lot of people go through the DTRL on the older vehicles. Most of the time I just leave my lights on. One reason is, most people are retarded in Arizona and don't' even bother to look, let alone actually see you if they do. Also, since the dash is always lite up (which i don't mind), at sunrise/set I tend to forget they're not on... and the tacos have no 'auto' option my G had so yea...

My 09 AC came with them - it was about a $40 option. I didn't want them and will be doing the mod to turn them off soon.

If someone who is removing them wants to send me their relay, please by all means. I'd like them on mine.
