I have called a couple of dealers down here in the inland empire and they have both told me that the seatbelt chime “cannot be turned off because it is a safety feature.”

I travel with my dog often and he’s always setting it off. I’ve currently resorted to strapping the belt in behind the seat so it doesn’t keep beeping, does anyone know of a dealership or shop in SoCal that would be willing to turn the chime off?

My last resort would be buying a pet seat belt and cutting the strap off and just plugging that in but if at all possible I would like a more permanent solution to my problem, thanks in advance!

I have the stuff to do it on a second gen, if it's an option on the third gen, I can do it. I'm in Claremont, CA.

I'm not a dealership, shop, nor near you, but if you're in the SFV area, I can help you. Turning that thing off was one of the best "mods" I've done.

Yeah pretty sure because both mine are off. Let me find exactly where in app you do and try to find screenshot. It was super easy. You still get the flashing light on dash but no sound. You will need a basic obd2 dongle off Amazon for like 10 bucks and then the app is less than 5 dollars. Once its turned off it stays off permanently. You can also real time monitor parameters with your phone like an extra instrument cluster.

I used the Carista bluetooth adapter to turn the seatbelt chime off, I don't think you can do anything about the door chime, maybe tape then sensor down?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that! Whilst you're on the Carista buzz if you tow then OBD fusion is a must to monitor trans temps and Torque converter lock status. This is my current dashboard i have on my iPad mini...

EDIT: ignore the lb.ft torque, I have the wrong PID set...

I can turn off the seatbelt noises with Techstream. I'll do it for free if you get your truck tuned as well.

Yes, you can. But you’re gonna have to re-read the question again lol (nobody asked about the door ajar chime).

I ended up buying a seat belt buckle to solve my issue.

No I did read it. I thought I saw a sub-note Re: the door ajar. Yea, belt buckle was probably the easiest solution. Glad you got it!
