Curious if anyone has noticed decent amount of turning radius reduction with a 2+ inch lift and 0 offset wheels? My rig doesn’t like full turning anymore lol. I guess the 0 offset wheels is to blame extending the wheels further out or if the lift also plays a factor. The turning radius was already bad enough stock!

Yep! 3” lift here. 0 offset wheels. Noticed it immediately on first drive! It takes a cow pasture to turn a 360!

I don’t know how a lift affects turn radius but bigger tires will definitely hurt it very noticeably.

If the lift is compromising the turning radius? All the trucks with the factory TRD lift I'm seeing show up at dealers are going to be that mhch more undesirable. I doubt the lift changes the turning radius.

You increased the turning radius by going to 0 offset wheels lol that's it. On trucks that already have bad turning radius... o_O

Yeah your turning radius doesn’t suck. If you haven’t trimmed anything then there’s your problem too. I have absolutely no problem making U turns with 37’s.

Are you on a lift with a wide offset too?

I also think my CVs are not liking the lift and ICON diff drop I had installed. A lot of binding felt when turning which I think is the primary cause of the diminished turning radius (not so much the wheels). Had the shop who installed it check today as well and they noted the same thing.

Haha there it is! Yeah it’s not rocket science but sheesh it got worse. Have you felt any binding when at full lock making a turn? My CVs seem to not like this angle at all at 2.75” of lift even with the diff drop and Offroad axles

    Is the lift also Icon?

Haha it commands trails now ;) but I think going positive on offset will be my move next, definitely reminding me that functionality over looks is the way

So I had 33s before the install and no change to the turning radius.

After the Dobinsons suspension install and new wheels, full turn is much harder to maneuver. Almost feels like the CVs are binding as well which is not great. I have the Icon diff drop installed but not sure if it helped with CV angles. Going positive on offset seems like a small change I can do to help the turning out a little

This is when going for the cool luck bites in the butt. +55 to 0 offset certainly has its drawbacks already. I think +25 +35 will be my next venture to remedy this at least a little

I think my offset drew its radius out quite a lot. But the lift also is causing some bind felt on the steering well when at full lock which I think are my CVs…

Goddamn thing has embarrassing turning circle stock like a cruise ship

But it can also fit pretty large tires stock and a wider track doesn't hurt. But the space they used to clear the wheels inboard had to come from somewhere...

Overall I'm glad the trucks have a wider track though.

You went with the Dob 3" springs & their struts, how's the body roll, improved?
Hopefully not running stock UCA's at that height?

Body roll is tight as a button and planted. Nice thing about the MRRs is you can make them very firm or loose. Running them firm right now which has been great for washboard and body roll but a bit harsh over manholes/etc. I’m using JBA UCAs

I don’t have any binding at full lock. Everything works great. I did have to get another alignment (had an alignment at time of lift) after about 1500 miles I noticed some inside tire wear. Had a new alignment, problem solved!

CV joints bind on a lifted truck because the lift kits create extreme angles that exceed the stock CV axle's design limitations, causing the joint to lock up. This issue is resolved by installing extended travel CV axles specifically designed for lifted vehicles, which offer greater articulation angles and increased plunge travel to accommodate the altered suspension geometry
