True but you saw what @northwesttaco was saying about his steering that he'll have to replace more often and just the maintenance of LT itself. Well see. I do know I'm going 37's but when is the question and if I'll stay mid travel and finish saving up for sas or go LT for a few years and then finish saving for sas.

That's right. Admitting you are powerless is the first step. I'm a total junkie.

I really don't have any desire to SAS.... plus all of the problems seem to be linked more to 35s than the LT itself. I talked with total chaos on the phone today. They said with the same amount of lift, mid travel actually puts more wear and tear on steering and drivetrain components

What was their reasoning behind that?

More like 10.5"-11" max. 2wd trucks can get 11.5" out of the kit but our cv's bind around 11".
By the time you set up the bumps properly and limit straps you'll be around 10.5" of vertical travel, maybe a little less

They said with the same amount of lift that a mid travel truck will have more extreme angles on both the axles and the steering components. They said the 35 inch tires is more of the culprit for wear when you go LT 35s

I still thought LT would put more wear on your vehicle than mid travel

On certain components Im sure it does. Like steering and CV joints from being extended out. But not sure exactly how much compared to stock width

It just pushes your wheels out. The arms and coils are what is bearing the load. The steering and axles are actually at a better angle and will be in less of a bind

Got the Total Chaos bed stiffeners installed today. I'm glad I got them because my driver side was actually staring to go out a little. These pulled it back in. I had to trim my drawer face a little but my platform fit just fine with them. It actually snugged everything up a bit. Thanks to @totalchaos for making these. Great preventative to keep from costly repairs.
