    Those are great questions!

    No mat. The orange/reddish color is the wall color which it may or may not stay on long term. The alternative is a medium gray color wall at the moment.

    Hmmm. I like the idea of contrasting, my concern is adding a mat will add more size and thickness and its already on gator board which is probably .25" thick.

    Go big or go home? :notsure:

    i'll show you a nice contrast of a drawing my sister did for me years ago. Dark mat and dark frame..... I love it. It's on a lighter wall too which makes it even better.... brb :D
