Undecided. May visit grandma today so I may not get as much done on the pond today. Or I may. Who knows. I got some walls to build and some soil to add to my gardens.

Grandma wasn't feeling well, so we have a pond update instead!

The rest of the duckweed arrived today and went directly in the pond. Transplanted and mulched some trailing purple vinca ground cover in the new bed. And my Japanese maple arrived for back at the corner note and I promptly got it planted!

Added frogbit to the pond today. If you've never heard of frogbit, you're not alone, I didn't know what it was 3 days ago either, turns out it's another floating pond plant. We'll see how it does. :)

Down south maybe, but it's generally seasonal here. But I need coverage first to help keep algae from growing too quick. Since other water plants aren't ready to fill out yet. :playball:

Yeah, I use some of that too, but I'm getting ahead of it by getting balance in there sooner to set up a good ecosystem. Also I think my toads will like it.

One of the reasons my water quality was so good in the original pond was because of the diversity of plants filtering everything. So the more variety I add, the better. The plants really thrived.

I get water hyacinth every year, but it doesn't survive the winter. I brought some inside last year though and that did ok. Same with water lettuce.

Kudzu is out of control in this region, not so much where I live now, but when I lived in Virginia, man that stuff was crazy, also I don't think it's a water plant, is it?
