    Google can't be wrong..
Yes, rats require water to survive. While they can obtain some moisture from their food, rats need a consistent source of water to maintain hydration and overall health. They can't survive for long without it.

Of course, but there's no proof that they are here. Doesn't exactly seem like a rat haven. o_O

Well...Lol..I'm not saying your infested, but they have to be Rats around...
My wife was telling me she seen one in our breezeway the other day..I kept looking out and finally seen him.She has some ferns with like plates under them to hold water...He was drinking out of that till he took a Dirt Nap.

But where? I have never seen a rat around here.

In the woods? In the corn fields?

He may not be there for Rats....another thing to consider is Copperheads are drawn to yards and gardens primarily for three reasons: food, shelter, and breeding opportunities. They are opportunistic predators, so a yard with abundant prey like rodents, insects, and lizards is attractive. They also need places to hide and bask in the sun, and yards with dense vegetation, piles of debris, and rocky areas can provide that cover. Finally, they may return to the same den year after year, so a yard that has previously been used as a den or hibernating site may be more likely to attract them...copy and pasted:rolleyes:
