Meh... I spent damn near 3k before I ever made the first payment which I just paid a few days ago, haha.

Thinking since I am getting the arm rest, I may jump on the other group buys for the jdm knee pads and speaker pads to keep the look going

I'm trying to pay the wife's Subaru off so I can put some cash away to buy another car. Just saw a Ravan one today by my house.

Well my job is secure, wasn't smart to buy the car or dump money into it but I figure I'll make it work. Supposed to be house hunting within the next 4 months also.

    YOLO! Hahaha

I like the way you think. :D im with ya you can't take it with you when you leave. But house buying puts a dent on fun money for sure. I know that because I just sold a house and am now building one.

The articles plainly state that toyota handed the development over to subaru. In the automotive world development is an all encompassing term covering design, test, and final issue of the car's drawings or "blue prints".

Subaru developed the chassis and drivetrain of the car which is a very good thing! (considering how beige every current toyota car is:eek:).

Did u skip over the part were Toyota came in and "solved" the power and emissions to the level they wanted? Did u skip the part where the transmission was not designed by Subaru but by aisin( manual) and Toyota/lexus(auto) . Sounds like to me that Toyota didn't just hand things over. And I'm still pretty sure that Tetsuya Tada is still the lead person on the GT-86 and he's a Toyota man.

i know most dont subscribe to wikipedia but even there it says toyota offered involvement. not heres an idea u go do your thing. this guy was completely going to be made with our with out subarus involvment. if they didnt get involved, toyota was still going to use one of their engines. like how they use yamaha's engines. Toyota also owns 16.5% of Fuji Heavy Industries which is Subarus parent company

Oh I know toyota was involved, but not so much in the important part of this car, the chassis.

I personally don't want to imagine what this car would have been like without subaru's involvement. Let's just be glad that this amazing partnership worked out!

That was a cool read, thanks for the link. It looks like that Moto p guy is really determined to get the point across that it was developed via equal input from both companies.
I'm not really not sure what to believe any more. I guess the main reason i figured Subaru took care of the dynamics is because of recent trends in toyotas other models. (Boring). Subaru has always been known to make well handling cars.

That's one of the reasons Toyota gave the go ahead with this so that they could get away from that image of boring

And Toyota has made some really good cars. Just not latley

And by good I mean exciting performance wise. Supra, celiac, ae86, mr2( when it was cool)

Oh definitely agreed. I used to own an AE86 GT-S and it was amazing. I still want to own a 2nd gen mr2 some day.
