I weeeesh I had the monies to spend on it!

    Garg.

    She's a beaut.

None of the ranges near me rent HKs and I rather want to shoot one!

I guess it will just come down to renting all of their 45s and just putting rounds through them to figure out what works best!

I use and carry my kimber pro carry 2, it's an absolute awesome weapon. Everyone who holds it wants it, but I won't sell it. Decided not to. Hope this helps. It's obviously a 45

Thats the best way to do it, hold, fondle and shoot as many different pistols as possible before making your decision. Its fun and gives you more experience to base your decision on.

Everybody can tell you what works for them... but that doesn't mean you'll feel the same way about their choice.

I'd even suggest different calibers as well. 9mm is just as fun to shoot and its a hell of a lot cheaper, so you can get more lead down range for less.

Good luck and have fun finding your weapon.

If you can pick up a used Colt 1911 (A-1) type, you can get .22 or 9mm conversion kits.....double or triple your fun.

You want something like a 1911 but not actually being a 1911 check out sig. Most are metal and there are several options. Most have rails as well. I have shot sigs, glocks, kimbers, rock islanders and many more, my favorite is the sig. The rock islander is a nice cheap 1911 that shoots well as well. Most people see the price of it and think its a crap gun but I love it. Has not jammed on me or my friend once.
