    i think it gets stiffer anyways the only thing the spacer does is change shock droop to stuff measurments

    If the ride height is the same you haven't changed the preload, if the ride height is higher then you have increased the preload, regardless of how you have done it. Unloaded the bottom of the coilover is a stationary point, you have moved the top of the spring (and increased preload) by moving the top of the coilover down rather than the top of the spring alone. What you have done is change the range of travel of the shock piston in relation to the suspension. And likely outside of the designed range.

    This. Your droop is limited by the shock (I believe). By lowering the shock you have increased the potential droop, however if you have stock UCAs you are likely over extending them at droop now causing potential failure.

    Here's where the problem is. Yes you have potentially limited your up travel (maybe not depending on how much play the shock is designed with). But you have done this by making the limit the shock rather than the bump stops. This is bad, the shock is not designed for this. One bad pothole/speed bump and you could blow out the shock.

    The brewery is here in San Diego, super cool place. The stone work in the restaurant is something else. Good food, good beer, amazing surroundings.
