What's with all the motors

I was gonna get a "Bucket of Bullets" from Remington, I think it's like 1400 rounds for $50-70 depending on what site you get on. But, no one has them. The only ones anyone has in stock anymore seem to be some Spanish brand that's like $5 for a box of 100 and they're probably terrible.

 

$20/hundered!?!? Holy crap! They're 7.99 at the pawn shop here.

I stopped shopping at Dick's. They decided to stop selling ARs, which I wasn't happy with, but I had to get somethin and I was close, so I stopped in. After I got what I needed, I went to price a semi-auto 30-06 for huntin season this comin year, and he said they completely quit selling any semi-auto high-caliber rifles. So, instead of shopping at Dick's, my business will be online from Bass Pro or Cabela's since the closest of either of those is about 2 hours away.

 

Trying to make myself start learning how to play the guitar I bought about 10 months ago... Haha

Build up those calluses, only way to get going on that.

 

Yeah I played for about 30-40 minutes and had to stop...

 

Think of it like working out, it's very similar. When I play, I stretch out my fingers some before I start, I play for like ten minutes or so, give my hands a little rest and stretch them a little them and then keep playing. If your muscles are hurting, stop playing, you will only make it worse. The calluses on the other hand (no pun intended), need to be built up and maintained, once you get the calluses built up, just play a little everyday or every other day can keep the calluses up pretty well.

 

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I'm going to try to make myself play an hour a day. But if my muscles start to hurt I'll stop and just study chords and stuff for the rest of the hour. I have a music background (played trumpet for 6 years) so I'm not completely starting from scratch...

The biggest trick for me was building the muscles up that are needed to fret the strings cleanly, it takes time. Full bar chords are tough on the hands. You also have to learn how to get your fingers to stretch apart to sound out chords correctly. Pay attention to how you are learning to finger chords too, there are correct and incorrect fingerings, best to learn the right way the first time.

 

like chris said your fingers are gonna have to get used to the friction and roughness of the strings, muscle memory is the way to go as far as chords are concerned.
start simple, then work on breaking your fingers independence from each other, eventually you'll get comfortable enough to really enjoy strings.
