The same thing happened to my '99. It was not in an as advanced state of corrosion though. I pulled it apart, brushed the worst of it and coated everything with waterproof grease and siliconed all the o-ring surfaces, just put it back together and manually unlocked it. I went for a drive this morning and locked it in to exercise it only to find that it wouldn't unlock. I am considering taking it to a machine shop to see if someone could make a new cover, out of steel though. I love the selectable locker option in a stock vehicle, but some of the components they built them with are terrible.

Did you try turning a little side to side while rolling slowly forward to unlock it?

No. I'm working on the skids while Ben works on the rear bumper and she is working on the front.

Wiring for towing. Power and trailer brake from battery back to the hitch, adding a reverse light circuit for the trailer, and later possibly doing an extra fuse block for stereo and other accessories. I want to avoid crimp connections, and my corded soldering iron was goign to be inconvenient. A very convenient excuse for a new tool :D

I just got done chatting with the press brake guy and he claims this part won't be done for a week because he doesn't have the proper dies to do it right now. On to the next place I guess. I'm not waiting that long if possible.
