Cut it back more at the end so you can get your plate to sit flush with the bottom as well.

The jaws on that clamp are smooth, causing the wood to rotate, hence the bike angled forward. I think if I roughen up the jaws with a grinder they will bite more into the wood keeping the bike level.

 

Consider yourself newsed. Dual electrode per factory spec.

Yeah, or get some type of grip tape and put it on the clamps. Or I bet a folded peice of sand paper would do the trick. Then you don't have to alter the clamp at all.
