Oh okay, I know this haha but I don't worry about because they give me a new tank every time I go to get a refill. They test the tanks every time they receive one.

It's secured very well too. Unless it physically hits something itself, it won't fall out.

Also the dates it has been hydro tested will be stamped into the cylinder near the valve. It will have a month and a year.

Oh okay. If you're picking up from a supply company than you will be fine from hydro testing. But be mindful of those valve safety's and how/why they work. If it blows, keep away. Obviously Co2 isn't good for you, and you'll know quickly if you're inhaling the gas, you'll have a bitter taste. Also Co2 is a colored gas, it will come out as a white vapor. You may have residual pressure left in the cylinder but if you don't have white vapor then you don't have Co2.

FWIW, the valve has 3 safeties. But really make sure you are protected if you are in an accident. Keep it vertical and never secure that cylinder with the valve facing the cab of your truck or directly behind you.

They also will test their cylinders but not every time it is sold. If there is a bad valve or neck leak then they will fix it before filling but otherwise it's either 5, 7 or 10 years between hydro testing. It is illegal to fill a cylinder that is outside its testing date, and dangerous.

5 lb Powertanks and the 20 lb you have are very different beasts. Yours is 10 times more powerful and dangerous when damaged.

Have fun but be safe. Hope I don't scare people away, but that size compressed gas cylinder is serious business in a vehicle.

It's a welding supply company that I go through, and it's a chain. So surely they're reliable enough haha right now the regulator is pointed towards the cab, but the relief valve is pointed to the back.

Regulator and safety can be pointed any way. Just meant don't transport it ever if it is laying down. If you must, point it at the bed rail. If not it could easily fly into the cab or into a car behind you and will easily kill someone.

Oh, okay. Gotcha. I transported it in the tool box facing the bed rails, but that's it.

Almost spilt my beer. No, I do not condone drinking and wheeling. Unless it is within a fenced in area under supervision of your dog and you are finished mulching.

When I drove by them, I could see some of them full of newspaper.

LOL, not my first thought, but that would be epic.

Digging a hole for a new foundation today.

So the trash company didnt take any of the boxes, my wife saw them putting them all back in their garage.:rofl: The boxes took up an entire spot in their garage floor to ceiling (~9ft x 22ft x 10ft), wish I could have gotten a picture.
