What do you got going on there? Couldn't you just face screw with Spax and get the template ? Can't really tell whats going on under the sill, subsill? Looks pretty serious, thats a load of bad ass clamps though!

They are super good for finish work...self tap, non split and all that. Easy to remove etc... and they are screws.

That's what I thought but if I run a bunch of screws through the face of my finished piece it's gonna be kinda FUBAR , no ?

 

Well yea, looked like a template for a sill or subsill. Poking holes in the face of the sill would look like ass of course. Then again a recent customer had me dial an African Mahogany jamb, case, sill and subsill on his entire home...then painted it. Screwing would have saved so much time. So check out the Spax...good for paint grade and template/fit work.
