    Correct. I read through all of the posts. For starters silicone sucks. Get a good urethane caulking. Sika flex or dura link are my choices. Take a good look and make sure the step flashings have enough lap in them. Bib flashings may not be cut and lapped correctly. A large pile of pine needles may cause water to lay in a certain spot and force it into places it normally wouldn't run. If you're looking to replace a skylight it's not a terrible job. The size and cost of the skylight will be the determining factor. Looks like it's a deck mount. A curb mount is usually a bit deeper. So many variables with this issue
