    He's been great. Going downhill the last 3 weeks, I was hoping to be with him when it was time. I'm off every other Friday so we scheduled for this morning... I'm not sure he would have made another 24 hours.
    Yesterday he came downstairs to eat and use the box, but didn't leave the bed from noon on.
    Slept last night cuddled close to me. This morning I carried him downstairs and he managed to walk to the water bowl and actually ate.
    We took him in at 11:30.

    We've boarded him at this vet 3 times in the last 3 years, and several staffers came in to say goodbye.. they were grateful that we allowed it, they said that owners almost never want anyone other than family, but when we checked in, we told the receptionist that if any staffers wanted to say goodbye they were welcome to come in.

    Most lovable cat ever... more like a dog than a cat. Not a mean bone in his body, mainly because he's never known a cruel human. Wife found him in the middle of the street when he was less than a month old.
