Im not debating the difference between premium and low grade fuel. i put top tier 91 or better octane in my tacoma but it does run better (power and mpgs) on fuel that has ethonal in it as opposed to ethanol free fuel. like i said before theres a reason supercharged big block V8's putting out 2K horse power dont run on pump gas they run on pure ethonal. Cuz more power that's why..

So this vvv is true but does not negate that fact that you're still a derp.

I'm going to call a little BS in that number. That number is if you are running e85, not e10. Ethanol has about 2/3 the energy of Gasoline. If you start running some numbers that means e10 has about 93% of the energy that Straight Gasoline has. It makes sense that you might see a ~10% hit in mileage.

I've run 87 octane e10 in my truck for the last 3 years. I've seen 23 mpg and 16 mpg. The weather conditions and my right foot have as much/more to do with it as the gas I put in it.

Generally speaking, racing engines run a much higher compression ratio. Straight Ethanol has an octane of around 114 allowing the engines to run efficiently without pre detonation at ratios in the 14:1 range. As far as pure energy, gasoline has more BTUs/gallon. Ethanol doesn't make more power, it allows for a more powerfull engine to run smoothly.

 

I would mount it all the way forward as not to have any light output interference from the bumper lip...my 2wo scentz wurth....
