I would have sent in a picture of my triple habanero pizza and my beer...but I like to enjoy my dinner and my company, not take 10000 pictures of it and share it with the internet full of people who dont give a shit what I eat or drink.

Kinda off topic but. I saw a thing earlier this week or last week. it was talking about why wait times at restraints is so long compared to 10-15+ years ago. it was saying how a lot of people sit down look at there phones for 5 min sometimes longer before even looking at the menu. Look at the menu for a bit look at phones more, when the server comes they are not ready to order because they have spent most their time looking at their phones instead of what they want to eat. some times the server came and checked to see if the people where ready to order a few times, also some sent food back to be re heated because they took to many photos, or had the servers taking photos of a group of people.

make a longer story short, one restraint reported each table taking like 30 to 45min longer (from time they sit down till time they pay and leave) than how long the average time was 10 years ago.

 

Wtf.

That was one thing to get used to when I was stationed in Germany. When people go out to eat they will sit there for hours just bsing after they eat or what not. No one there was ever in a hurry while eating

 

Wow that's pretty crazy. I mean I've done it a few times, but that's for like a birthday or something. Or when we were at the Moab brewery for our last meal in Moab this year. But I'm so indecisive about ordering anyway I don't need extra distractions. I had an ex that was into photography and that Instagram shit. And she always did that, and I just stared and wondered if that as really necessary. And thus I hate instagram, and pretty much all of the social media sites besides facebook

 

Very true. That is the culture in most of Europe. But ar they spending that time taking pictures and staring at their phones or actually conversing

 

Mostly conversing. U still have cell phone freaks over there but not near as bad.

And it's the older ones that are doing the conversing

 

That's crazy! I only look at my phone for a few minutes and that's only while waiting for food. I am 31 and can see the younger gen people doing this.

 

Looks great for a hunting rig, easy place to drag the game up to.
