i've been applying to jobs there for a year and most of the listings close and never get updated. it just says "your application is under review" indefinitely

Oh nice, that's south of the city right on the Potomac. still within the beltway though so only 15-20 minute drive from downtown. I have cousin who used to work at the naval research laboratory.. Not the greatest part of town to live in, but it's pretty easy to get in and out of and being on the naval base you wouldn't have to really deal with the people much haha right across the river from Old Towne Alexandria and a couple other really nice areas.

and yea that's kinda what happened for me too.. just thought i'd throw it out there though!
