    yeah. More reason to use the clear plasti dip, protects and won’t really(if at all) be seen going down the road and can easily take it off when you get where you are going.

    Nothing to do with rock chips, since rocks will easily penetrate painters tape.

    It's meant to keep bug guts from splattering on the front of your newly detailed car while you drive to a show, or somewhere else to show off. Peels off when you get there, no more bug guts - no adhesive residue, just clean car.
