I live year round in a beach town were most of the people are seasonal. The house they got delivered to had summer renters at the time they weren't the owners. The fucked up part was technically my addy is Long Beach Blvd, Brant Beach and they were delivered to Bay Blvd, Holgate. Same house number and same road but 3 towns away....

 

The good thing is your were a great detective and found the sliders. If the address was correct I would bill FedEx for your time to do their job.

 

This is an amazing story! I'm glad you finally found them. I would have been out of my mind. What made you think to look that far away? We're you just checking out houses with the same # address as you?

At first I was looking everywhere around my town, total creep walking up to houses and peaking in back yards. Because long beach blvd runs the entire island of Long Beach Island NJ sometimes I put long beach blvd south as my addy. Well the main road turns into south long beach blvd,a totally diff town than mine. I had switches ordered from otrattw that also got fucked up by the post office. I went to pick up the switches in the town that has south long beach blvd. The post master said they must of tried to send them south of you and couldn't find your house so they came back here, while talking she mentioned that there was a home with the same house number but different street name on the same road which is why they didn't make the delivery. I shot down to the house we were talking about and there are my sliders!! After a month and a half dispute with fedex and 2 closed cases that says they are not liable I found them!

 

Huh. Good thing you had that conversation with the post master. Thats insane.

 

Yea that was the only way I found them.

What pisses me off is how Fed ex themselves played judge, jury, executioner. I endlessly told them they were not stolen! My neighbors don't even lock their doors.. And FedEx was like welp, we sent the driver to confirm the correct address twice and he said he made the correct delievery, so they were stolen. And your beat have a nice day.

 

Crazy. Did you ever get back to them after you found them? Something to think about, but could also happen if you need an ambulance, etc... I always wonder what some municipalities are thinking while setting up addresses.

 

I had fedex deliver a snorkel to a random guy in Oregon, instead of me in Iowa. How do you fuck up that badly?

That's my old truck lol. I got it a month later after several calls to fedex and autoanything to get a new one shipped.

UPS has a GPS trail on all drivers, they can go back weeks later and show you exactly where the package was delivered. Fed ex ground drivers are private contractors driving their own vehicles, with much less training or supervision. UPS has the most technologically advanced delivery system. Fed ex express is nearly on par with UPS, but fed ex ground is poorly run, with lower quality standards.
