Had rainfall rates of 1-2" of rain per HOUR.

 

Just said on radio that we would need a few years of rain like this to replace lost ground water/aquifers.

We're on our 4th wind and rain storm in 4 nights , Port Alberni on Vancouver Island received 7 1/2" of rain in 72 hours

 

Healdsburg has it worse than me. Its 3 miles north, also on the river. Water over the roof of cars at the Safeway which is mind blowing.

We didn't get hit that hard where I live , I think our accumulation is 4 1/2" in the same time period but storm 4 just hit us tonight and another 1" or 2" of rain is expected in the next 24 hours

No way. That's my realtor's office, 10 miles south or so.

My neighborhood has no issues.

3 miles north is bad. 3 miles south is bad. I saw an offramp with half the lane blocked with standing water and vineyards are flooding. I am in a lucky spot, at least for the time being. We have a large drain in our backyard that has the neighbor's yard draining into it also, and I haven't checked it. The last big storm was in 1997 I think, and I had 4 ft of water in my backyard, a few inches more and it would've came into the house.

 

I guess I'm getting a new frame! I suppose I'll pull the sliders, rear bumper, air lines, winch and ARB front myself? The mechanic also recommended I bring a new steering rack and gas tank straps for them to install? He's pretty sure they'll come apart upon dismantle! On a good note, LCAs will be new too!

They've flooded before. We still have the best wine in the US.

 

I'll check tonight. We have a protected oak (registered even..) that drops tons of leaves. As long as it isn't clogged up it usually good to go. Not many leaves on the ground, recently raked.

1997 I was 13 and thought the backyard flooding was so cool. I played in it. It wasn't until years later I realized that water was basically toilet water. Yum.
