    Wife's new minivan has navigation. So I took her older Garmin and hooked it up. Did a super easy setup until I decide if I even like it. It's about 2 hrs old so some streets aren't even correct.

    Just ran the original cigarette lighter cord up and through the A pillar area. Looked through a few hard wired threads and didn't feel comfortable yet. But if I like it I will for sure.

    Thanks for the info. On a side note, when I hook up my iPod to the Aux output the volume is super low. I turn the volume up past 40 just to hear it. Is that normal? (I'll use the search function when I go inside on my iPad, sorry).

    Ha, also I saw there is a "frugal" mod thread. How's this for cheap and easy. I don't have one of the fancy extension cord things that self winds up. But I have just an extension cord with a light on it. Put it in a plastic bag and hang it from my ceiling hook. Yes, I'm cheap. Wife's been in school for the last few years and finally got a job.

    have you tried turning up the volume on your iPOD then the stereo? I have found with using my iPHONE on my receiver and treadmill the volume on the unit itself impacts the output volume as well.
