    Minnesota isn't a flyover state... Housing isn't cheap here. The average rent for a house like this would be $1700.

    Average home prices in my town are 480k. 15 miles north and it drops to 380k. 1 bedroom apartments are up to 1650/month for rent. Add $400 for each additional room.

    Paying for than I would with a rental, but at least it's to something I can get a return on someday.

    Ive got a house in KS I'm about to put on the market and buying one in this area. My house in KS is rented out currently, which is nice. And if it takes extra time for someone to buy it, I should have no mortgage here for 2 months.
