    I know folks up here have some very strict rules to follow if they intend to renovate certain older homes so as to not destroy some of the original features/style. I imagine its worse down there...

    The town where I grew up has a lot of nicer, older homes and some folks have done a lot to keep them looking like they would have 100 years ago. Then other folks just DGAS and tear everything up....like the couple who tore off a copper tiled roof and replaced it with asphalt shingles :facepalm: Totally ruined the house
