Pollinator / mason bees use it .

 

Good idea, promote cross pollination. Are they effective at attracting bees?

 

All the boxes I put up here are full after the second year , usually at least 1/2 full the first

 

He just likes getting stung

 

Mason bees are completely non aggressive

Pansy ass bees

 

Grab a piece of wood , drill some 5/16" holes in it about 1 1/2 - 2" deep and hang it up where it gets morning sun in the spring . They'll show up .

 

I will give it a shot. Seems all i ever get on the south side of my house are paper wasps

 

Just need a bit of water available nearby for them to pack the holes witj mud , and it should be up before the earliest blooming plants in your area begin their thing

No, these don't use hives. They're solitary. But it is great for pollination if you have a good food source for them (and yourself, like tomatoes ), and help bolster struggling bee populations. I doubt I will get the veggie garden in this year, but probably next. Still need a master plan for the whole back yard.

I have a ton of raspberries and usually do a handful of tomato plants. Gonna give this a go in spring
