    The Corsair has always been a favorite of mine, and the guys who own this team have a Corsair restoration in progress, and it is complicated and difficult. My college buddy crew chief was asked to be their crew chief, and he asked me to come help get squared away with them. Their resto shop is about 35 miles from my house. If things work out, I may be able to get involved in some of their resto work.:cool:

    Yeah, I believe so. Combat Air Patrol and ground support. F-86s (Air Force) were doing most of the interceptor / air-to-air work by then, and the Navy was using F9F Panthers, but they were slower and did more attack work.
