    I'll be adding some more photos to the thread later and I'll tag you in it.
    The basic idea is to not have legs or wires from the rafters supporting it so I built a steel frame and will be attaching the steel frame to those 2x6's

    Fan is from Menards, the light box mod is just a 4.75 x 4.75 x 2.25 junction box and a cover plate with a 1" hole drilled in the center, painted dark bronze with a couple painted exterior lamp holders. The fan is pretty slick since it is a 3 speed with an oscillator switch. It actually moves a fair amount of air; this office I'm building is so small though - it didn't need much. And since I'm making cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling, I had to get something under 24" diameter.
