Freakin 5/8 allen wrench. Who the hell has one that size? I checked a few stores, including Harbor Freight, and found none. I can order one on line for $9 and wait for days...

I changed the water pump on my Camaro and since the heater core is a bit, um, weepy, I'm going to plug the inlet/outlet holes. The plug takes a 5/8 allen wrench. I don't know why they didn't make the wrench hole smaller so a standard wrench would fit. Gasket sealant is now dry and its warmed up outside - I wanna go out for a drive! Any ideas out there on how I can cinch this thing in without the wrench?

If you can't weld it use two 5/8" nuts with one locked against the other.

Use a 7/16 bolt which will have a 5/8 hex head, double nut it and use that to tighten the plug. Note: usually 7/16 nuts will use an 11/16 wrench while the bolt uses 5/8.
