    yea i have the flashing 4hi light going on right now. thankfully I can get in 4high, but because of the flashing light i cant use 4lo.

    Camel Back Toyota had the best price at $298.00. The local dealer wanted $650.00 for a new actuator. Mine doesn't even go into 4 hi, the light just blinks. I put the truck up on 4 jack stands last week and made sure it wasn't the transfer case but the front drive shaft would engage when I flip the 4 wheel drive switch on. So I am hoping this fixes my problem.

    right on :cheers: thanks, so with @jrzyshore it seems the one he just pulled off the truck had the soldering mod already done, and the new one that he just put in has not had the soldering done..

    I am short on funds and my gear oil change is now up for a change, I think I'm gonna pull mine off solder and reinstall, then fingers crossed, if not I will be shopping for a replacement that i guess i might as well solder before putting in, then cross my fingers again.. :playball:

    Clean off the channels and prongs and bend those prongs too. Even after I soldered the motor i was still getting flashing lights.

    Kind of, it's going into 4 wheel drive now but not all the time. Sometimes it will go in a right away and others and other time I can drive around the neighborhood with just the light flashing. Before it wasn't going in at all the light would just flash. But at least now I know if I keep flipping the switch it will go in. I did notice that there must be 2 relays behind the glove box and most of the time you hear one click and you can here the actuator on the transfer case. Then when you hear both click that's when it goes into 4 wheel drive. I'm heading to Florida for a few days so I am probably going to finish screwing around with it when I come home.
