Something about marketing I believe. There was a "Continental" as well. Does he want to sell it? I got 2g's burning a hole in my pocket.

    :D

    I don't think he'll take the 2g's though. Haha

Max Hoffman was responsible for that. He started with Continental but another car maker sued as the owner of that trade name hence the change to European. I've been able to restore three different cars that came through Hoffman, with one being a 550 Spyder that had a factory latch on coupe roof kit.

yea thats my plan. i need a primer bulb and to figure out where one more gas line goes before i can put gas in her though. also, apparently the damn gas tank cap takes a big ass crescent wrench to even move... i dont know if the guy bought a replacement and got the wrong one or what. that bugger is TIGHT

Ereplacement parts is my go to. has the saws exploded diagram and you can order individual parts. ive got a few things heading my way. also, as im tearing into this thing, im thinking that the previous guy tried tuning it up and got frustrated. its got new fuel lines (not really hooked up right) and a never used spark plug already in it. no air filter though, guess he wanted to keep it as a momento lol
