I’ll take a pic when coals burn off.
It’s suspended on a foil wrapped stake.on top of a cored apple with Cajun dry rub.

Very cool, looking forward to more pics. Do you have pre-fired-contained shot? We've been doing turkeys on the bbq for 30+ years, cool to see a variation.

Pound of charcoal per pound of turkey. Let the coals burn off.

I'm just having a hard time getting past the fact that that is a galvanized trash can.
I really don't want heavy metal fumes associated with my food.

    Otherwise, I'm intrigued as well.

My moms birthday is Dec 11th. and she wouldn't get much of anything for either one while her 2 brothers birthdays were June/July and would get a lot for both.

The day she turned 40, my dad said she was dam near 50 and it has been a running joke in the family. She just turned dam near 70 (60).:D

Do a search on YouTube for trash can turkey and you’ll get a visual. My dry rub tends to almost burn on top of turkey but I like the crunchy skin.just doesn’t look pretty. I use a bundt cake pan now and run stake thru pan. Pan catches all the drippings.
