    To get the hose clamp tight enough to grab the cup and the pegboard clip without slipping, but also without destroying the cup in question, could be tricky. Plus the size and angle were just right.

    You also want to be able to attached the clamp at the very top of the rim so that you are able to easily pull the whole thing off the pegboard to move it without undoing the clamp. The little vertical ridges around the circumference of the top rim were meant to keep the original ash tray lid thing on, but they create great pressure points to help secure the pegboard clip and the hose clamp to the cup. I could actually tighten these to slight deformation of the cup without it breaking, and I could not pull them apart by hand.

    When I was buying jugs of Pennzoil at Walmart, I just went down the next aisle to see if they had any cupholder thingies. Then I saw these. Very stout, cheap, and apparently fire proof. LOL.
