    A real shame. I used to fly into DeGaul and catch the Metro to Notre Dame and chill with an expresso when I had a few hour lay-over. Hang out at cafe on the river or sit in the open area and just stare at it... Super cool...
    I hope they can salvage as much as they can and rebuild it... Contractors insurance is going to be coughing up a lot dollars for this...

    never been there myself. and now *sigh* ....I'm not a religious person but I know what a huge lost this is. And not just in the aspect of it being a church. The history. The art. The architecture. A sad day for the whole world.
