    they have 2 bad capacitors in them. the service tech come to the house to fix the part. it is a free repair no matter the age of the tv. you will know if you have the issue because you wont have a picture.

    the tech said that all tv's have the same part up until the found the problem so its been used for years....warranty or not will be fixed on them :) kinda like a tsb, only if you call will they fix
