well, we're just a volunteer department, and we're not really underfunded. it's just if you have a helmet with your name on it and all that you don't wear your old crappy one, its just not the thang to do. . . and i don't go up there begging for new pagers and shirts and all that. the helmet works for the very few calls i run on weekends so i live wid it..

our assisant chief has an old cheifs helmet he uses for training burns, you should see that sum bitch...was wgite, its melted to the point that it is unsafe...(and blacker than tar)

 you're awesome for doin that. there are many volunteers out there that really need the cash to get their dept running correctly. state grants do not always go through...and like our locality, we were not supported by the township...the board saw us as "a waste of money" tell me that when im putting out your house fire, or pulling your family from an entrapment... over

save up and buy a nice leather (if you're allowed) my cousin bought a nice cairns, and he cracked the back of it trying to form it when it was hot at a house fire, refinished it, and its still around our dept somewhere...

he wrote Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, and now Inheritance

    dragons, magic, etc.....

    good story line though

I started reading them in 9th grade, now I'm 19 and the last one is out

when I start reading it, I wont stop.....

they are good books, if you like Lord of the Rings, there is a good chance that you will like these (thats my opinion)

if you havent read the LOTR books, try those first, start with the hobbit and move forward
